VIRY: Launch of habitat participatory

• What habitat participatory?

The habitat is based on participatory housing cooperatives that exist abroad, notably in Switzerland and who develop another type of housing, based on investissment residents in the development and management of their building. It includes volunteers who want to manage and improve the housing they occupy SET and promote a lifestyle based on sharing and accountability.

• Draft Haute-Savoie HABITAT Viry?

This participatory approach is initiated at Viry on a draft 42 homes located close to the City Council and the future cultural space.

3 buildings, one of assisted rental housing and two housing in social home ownership the project, labeled Low Consumption Building will be finalized with the future residents wishing to engage in the process. They may include participate in collective choices concerning common areas and apartments (removal of partitions, wall coverings, flat ready to end ,...). This will include determining the function of the common room of the project (hobby room, guest room, communal laundry ,...) and outdoor spaces (kitchen, games for children ,...).

The housing program will be accessible in terms of resources because they receive state subsidies and local communities.
